Whoops, sorry for that revert. Was a mistake. --Madden 18:52, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

The 11 June 2010 version should be used, the colors of the flag isn't this dark.--Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 23:29, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
You have 3 to 4 versions on that date. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 04:16, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I mean the second one on that date.--Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 16:41, 17 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
So my version. About the colors itself, I do have a document called "TCVN 2242:1977" that talks about the construction of the national flag. It has diagrams but cannot really make any heads or tails out of the colors. The document is also in Vietnamese and my Vietnamese is horrible. If Fry wants, I am willing to email this document to him. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 17:57, 17 July 2010 (UTC)7Reply
You should do that, so we can get rid of the horrible version we have at the moment...--Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 14:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Need new reference source

I found the official source now: https://chinhphu.vn/quoc-ky-quoc-huy-quoc-ca-tuyen-ngon-68378, In which I saw the flag image used #FFEB00 for yellow and #FF0000 for red. So I request to synchronize all colors with official rendition. -- Great Brightstar (talk) 18:16, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Great Brightstar, I updated the colors of the flag to #FFEB00 yellow and #FF0000 red. --Jarekt (talk) 01:13, 24 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I dont believe this is a necessary change, the corlors of the National flag are not standarized. And it designs is entirely the same as the previous North Vietnam's flag. The previous corlors of this file has been used for other files such as the Communist Party of Vietnam flag and the NLFSV flag. This change would create a discrepancy. Hello there,
I also don't agree with this change. If you look closely at the file, this was apparently made in September 2010, and it's also a GIF file. Knowing the colour limitations of GIF files, I wouldn't consider this change a wise one. Turtle-bienhoa (talk) 23:08, 27 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I would prefer the old file's color. Because there is simply no codified color for the Vietnamese flag, and in real life it's never that bright.
If you want some other references then you can check Communist Party of Vietnam's renders at [1] and [2], that they even use different colors in a single page. Hwi.padam (talk) 19:09, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Jarekt: Mate, there are multiple people here complaining about your unnecessary change of color scheme. Vietnam National flag is never that bright in real life. Could you please consider reverting your change? Billcipher123 (talk) 23:12, 30 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'll note that I've received a request to revert to the old version (presumably the 26 June 2017 version) at COM:OWR. I'm inclined to believe consensus so far appears to be to revert. But I'll wait a little longer before I make a decision on what to do here. Abzeronow (talk) 22:04, 5 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please revert back to the old colors
