I’m so glad you have the Bienenstich recipe now, Carolyn! It was definitely my favorite cake from when I lived in Stuttgart (and it looks like you were in the same area, too). I’ve already told my husband that he’s going to try the real thing when we’re in Stuttgart this summer. 🙂 I’ve been learning how to make Brötchen and will post the recipe and tutorial soon – they’re surprisingly easy to make.
