I’ve had that happen, too. You have to break them apart as soon as you can stand touching them! Don’t let them cool very long before breaking them apart. Try making them a few times (you can do half batches each time), watch them carefully (definitely no multitasking when making them!), and you’ll get a better feel for them. 🙂
